Roly's Fudge opens in Salisbury - Buy Fudge Online | Roly's Fudge
Roly’s Fudge are delighted to announce the opening of our latest shop in Salisbury! Welcome Sarah and Steven, our latest members to join the Roly’s family!
The shop was opened on Saturday November 14th by the mayor of Salisbury, and had a fantastic reception by the residents of Salisbury and shoppers from further afar. We’ve heard from people coming through the Roly’s Facebook, Roly’s Twitter, Spire FM and Salisbury Journal – so thank you for coming to visit us on our first weekend!
Here’s our mention in Spire FM:
“The new Salisbury branch is being run by former food journalists Sarah Orton and Steven Jones (pictured here). They say they will be cooking up an array of flavours using locally produced cream and butter. The new arrival on the High Street comes just in time for the busy run-up to Christmas.
Some of the delights they promise for the festive season include Salted Maple & Pecan, Christmas Pudding fudge and Baileys and Double Chocolate. The fudge is made in large copper pans, using traditional methods.”
And in Salisbury Journal:
Sarah, who has previously been the editor of a baking magazine and published a novel called Tummy Love last year, said: “You could either call it a mid-life crisis or a wonderful new challenge.
“We first tasted a square of Roly’s fudge when we were in Brighton looking to buy some for our son. It was probably five years ago and we both said, we want to run a Roly’s fudge shop.
“Fudge unfortunately has a bad reputation because of the mass-produced factory fudge that sits in cardboard boxes and is very waxy.
“Everything is made here in very small batches with fresh, top quality ingredients, locally sourced where possible.
“It’s crumbly but melts in the mouth.”
Join Roly’s Fudge Salisbury over at Facebook where they’ve just started up, and visit us at 62A High Street, Salisbury (just next to the arch!) from 10am – 5pm Monday to Sunday.
