Mother’s Day is just around the corner – only 2 weeks to go! As ever, we think Roly’s Fudge makes a lovely gift for Mother’s Day, whether Roly’s Fudge is a nostalgic memory from one of our earliest fudge pantries that your mum loves to indulge in, or whether she has recently become a fudge fanatic!
Our fudge is made from our founders’ grandmother’s old recipe book, from a 150-year-old recipe using real milk, butter and sugar. Once the fudge is made using traditional methods with the highest quality ingredients possible, we package up all our fudge boxes into giftwrapped boxes, all wrapped and packaged by hand. Roly’s Fudge never has been and never will be factory made – making our fudge fully authentic, established and a traditional delight for you to enjoy. So what are our recommendations for this Mother’s Day? Here are our five favourites!
- Vanilla Clotted Cream Fudge – of course!
Is there any flavour that is more loved than our Vanilla Clotted Cream Fudge? It’s the most traditional of our fudge flavours, with lashings of Cornish clotted cream and a touch of vanilla essence. This fudge is creamy and crumbly all at once and is completely unique, tasting at once like fudge and traditional tablet. If you’re not sure which flavour she would like, you can’t go wrong with this one.
2. Salted Maple and Pecan Fudge
We’ve never had a fudge flavour get as popular as this one, so quickly. This fudge flavour mixes the best of 100% maple syrup with crunchy pecans and a dash of Cornish Sea Salt for an indescribably sweet and delicious taste. If you’re a fan of Sea Salt Fudge, we definitely recommend trying this flavour, as it’s like a flavour upgrade!
3. LIMITED EDITION – Strawberries and Cream Fudge
This flavour won’t be around for long! Extra creamy and fruity, dotted with freeze dried strawberries so that they plump up into the real taste of strawberries in every bite.
Years ago we had a competition for what flavour should be in our Mother’s Day box, and the winner chose Strawberries and Cream and Coffee and Cream – ‘one flavour for the nostalgia of summers spent with her children, another flavour for those sleepless nights caring for them’. Such a perfect description! This flavour ‘really tastes like coffee’, as many of our Roly’s Fudge fans say when they first try it! So it should be because there’s no artificial flavourings in our fudge – when we make this flavour, it’s like making a giant cup of coffee in our big cauldron pots! Coffee not her drink of choice and prefer a tipple instead? Why not try Baileys Fudge – a winner with many mums around the country.
5. Our Mother’s Day Selection Box
This is a handwrapped selection of a wrapping paper of our choice, containing 600g of our three popular flavours. Inside you’ll find Vanilla Clotted Cream Fudge, Honeycomb Fudge, and Strawberries and Cream Fudge!
Bonus! 6. Easter Selection Box
Bit of a strange choice to throw into this, but hear us out! Our Easter selection box has two great flavours wrapped up inside – Hot Cross Bun Fudge and Chocolate Fudge. If your mum is a big lover of Easter, then there’s not much in this you can’t love – our Hot Cross Bun Fudge is a new flavour full of spices and sultanas, and our Chocolate Fudge is made with devilishly dark chocolate and 100% cocoa.
