What a result! We couldn’t believe our eyes when we logged onto the Taste of the West website this morning, to find that all eleven fudge flavours we had entered for consideration had won an award!
Last year we won four Gold awards, and this year we’ve topped it with FIVE Gold awards.
Eleven new awards means we now have forty awards since we first entered Taste of the West back in 2009. Thank you to all our supportive Roly’s Fudge fans who make this possible!
New Gold winners…
Three of our traditional flavours have won a Gold award, including Lemon Meringue Fudge, Christmas Pudding Fudge, and Chocolate Fudge.
Our Chocolate Fudge has never won an award before, so we are really happy this overlooked flavour now has an awards of its own! Lemon Meringue Fudge and Christmas Pudding Fudge have previously won big but are long overdue new awards – particularly as Christmas Pudding is the seasonal pride and joy of our fudge flavours.
Plus we have two new products for 2018 that have now won Gold! Our Dairy-Free Salted Maple & Pecan Fudge, recently accredited by the Vegan Society, has won its very first award, just months after being released. We are so humbled to win this, as it’s been a long process to make the perfect dairy-free fudge.
Also now a Gold winner is our Salted Caramel Fudge Sauce, which hit shelves for the first time last year! It’s our first product to win an award that isn’t pure fudge, so we are over the moon.
New Silver and Highly Commended winners…
But that’s not all! We also have Silver for Sea Salt, Rum ‘n’ Raisin, Maple and Walnut, and Vanilla Clotted Cream Fudge. Sea Salt Fudge and Vanilla Clotted Cream Fudge are long-time award-winners but our traditional flavour Rum ‘n’ Raisin Fudge has never won an award before!
Highly Commended goes to another new entry, Dairy-Free Maple & Cashew Fudge, as well as our Honeycomb Fudge.
