Roly’s Fudge York is situated on the Shambles, one of the best preserved medieval streets in the world. It hosts beautiful buildings that date back to the late fourteenth and the fifteenth century and is at the heart of the historic city of York.
Traditionally a street of butchers’ shops and houses, see if you can spot two original meat hooks suspended from our ceiling.
Allegedly, at the rear of our exact unit there was once a stairwell which led to a pub beneath. Greg and his team have looked and looked, but it may have since been filled in. If anyone manages to find it, the first round is on him!
This pantry is dedicated to producing fresh, traditional fudge daily, cooked in copper pans that are poured out onto the marble slabs. Viewers can watch from the windows or come into the shop, where inside you can try a free taster from our variety of flavours.
