European shipping and Expediated deliveries now available; update on International shipping

29th June 2020

Special delivery: We have reenabled our expediated ‘Special delivery’ at checkout. For an extra £6.50 you can select ‘Special Delivery’ at checkout and receive your parcel through the upgraded ‘Next Working Day’ Royal Mail service. Please note this uses the ‘Next Working Day by 1pm’ service, however because of local delivery pressures Royal Mail have confirmed that this is temporarily a ‘by 9pm’ service. Special Delivery is not available for Saturday deliveries.

European shipping: We are pleased to say we have now reopened European shipping. Customers from across Europe can now order from us as usual. Please note there may be delays to your transit time.

International shipping: We are unfortunately not able to open international shipping at this present time. This is because of increased delays during international transit which may lead to lost parcels.

Please note that as of 1 July, shipping charges will greatly increase because there is a temporary Air Carrier Supplement imposed by our courier: “We have seen 95% less air passenger flights as a result of Covid-19. We are having to use air freight instead. This is considerably more expensive. It has led to a five-fold increase in our conveyance costs to the US following the outbreak of Covid-19.  In order to manage these increased costs as fairly as possible, we have temporarily introduced an Air Carrier Supplement for each country where we have experienced increased costs, which will be charged on the price per kilo. This supplement will be regularly reviewed to reflect changing air carrier costs for the USA and other countries.”

Due to the current instability and delays in international air transit, we have taken the decision to suspend international shipping for the foreseeable future, as the resending of any lost parcels would be costly and difficult on our business at this time.
